PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of tea leaves in a coarse rolling machine for the processing, by adjusting the gap between the tip of the leaf-scooping arm and the rolling face, and the angle of the scooping arm to the rolling face according to the quality of the raw tea leaves and the rolling conditions. CONSTITUTION:The angle of the leaf-scooping arm 13 is adjusted by shifting the sliding piece 16 along the axis. Since the leaf-scooping arm 13 is turned round the joint P by the shift of the sliding piece 16, the angle of the leaf- scooping film to the rolling face 14 can be adjusted by this procedure. The gap between the leaf-scooping arm 13 and the rolling face 14 can be adjusted without varying the angle to the rolling face 14, by shifting the sliding piece 16 together with the leaf-scooping arm 13 along the axis. When the leaf-scooping arm 13 is rotated, the sliding piece 16 is moved vertically, and the resistant force generated thereby is proportional to the force pushing up the sliding piece 16 with the coil spring 17. By adjusting the force to a proper level, the leaf-scooping arm 13 is turned to mitigate the force applied to the tea leaves when a resistant force applied to the rolling face 14 exceeds a specific level.
