PURPOSE:To prevent tape flatter echo effectively by lowering adhesion between a fixing member and a medium. CONSTITUTION:In the structure of a magnetic head in which magnetic cores 1A-1D are fixed, a substance having difference of solubility parameter SP of roughly above two to a binder that constitutes the magnetic layer of a magnetic tape 9 which is a magnetic recording medium is added to a fixing member 8. Adhesion is hardly given when the difference of SP value exceeds 2. Accordingly, tape flatter echo can be prevented effectively by lowering adhesion between the fixing member 8 and magnetic tape 9. Actually, SP value of the binder of the magnetic tape is generally 10 or thereabout. Accordingly, a substance of SP value above 12 or below eight is used as an additive to the fixing member 8. Among additives having SP value of above 12, metal powder such as copper powder (SP value 107), nickel powder (124) etc. can be cited as desirable additives. |
