PURPOSE:To provide the titled needle having excellent fatigue strength and high reliability, by incorporating a specified amount of Mo2C in a WC-Co base super hard alloy needle. CONSTITUTION:In a WC-Co base super hard alloy needle, an addition of 0.0-10wt% of Mo2C suppresses grain growth of the carbide, leading to a uniform fine crystal structure, and Mo2C is dissolved in the Co phase to strengthen the Co phase and enhance the strength of the alloy. Accordingly, toughness, hardness and fatigue strength are enhanced, and the titled needle having favorable durability and reliability can be obtained. |
