PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the entire flat motor by disposing a bearing section made of ball bearings at a yoke side applied with a prepressure, and disposing a sintered bearing at a yoke side applied with no prepressure. CONSTITUTION:A flat motor is composed of a shaft 1 having an armature 2, permanent magnets 9 provided at the first and second yokes 4, 7 made of soft magnetic material, bearings 3, 8 of the shaft 1, and a brush unit 10. The bearing 2 of the yoke 4 side applied with prepressure by a prepressure spring 5 of the bearings 3, 8 of the motor is formed of a bearing having a ball bearing, and a bearing 8 of the other yoke 7 side having an E-shaped stopper ring 6 is formed of a sintered bearing. Thus, accurate rotation control and durability equivalent to those of conventional both bearings formed of ball bearings can be obtained. |
