PURPOSE:To perform easily the press-bonding between respective layers by previously obtaining an average deforming speed required for press-bonding a skin stock of clad material and a core stock together and successively obtaining a rolling speed based on the equation referring to a roll diam., the thickness of rolling stock and an average deforming speed. CONSTITUTION:The deforming speed required for performing the press-bonding between a core stock 2 and skin stocks 1, 3 of clad material 4 is easily and separately confirmed by the test rolling in a laboratory. The relation between a rolling speed i.e. a roll peripheral speed and a deforming speed of material 4 is proportional to each other and is given by the specific equation as the function of a roll diam. D(mm), an inlet thickness h1(mm) and an outlet thickness h2(mm). Accordingly, when the thickness h1 of stock, the thickness h2 of the stock after rolling, and the roll diam. D, are given, the rolling speed for performing the required rolling of press-bonding is obtained.
