摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the arc amount when a pantograph is separated from a trolley by driving a motor by the output of a main rectifier at an AC zone operation time, and freely circulating a motor current to a main rectifier circuit at a DC zone operation time. CONSTITUTION:An AD/DC converter 9 is closed at an AC side at an AC zone operation time, and a main motor having a motor armature 13 and a field winding 14 is driven by the output of a main rectifier 11. The converter 9 is connected to a DC side at a DC zone operation time. The output side of the rectifier 11 remains connected with a main motor circuit at this time. When a pantograph is separated from a trolley during traveling to interrupt a current flowed to the pantograph, the main motor circuit is closed through the rectifier 11, and the main motor current freely circulates the closed circuit. Accordingly, an arc energy decreases.</p>
