PURPOSE:A hair dye, obtained by combination of the first agent consisting of a water-soluble lead salt and the second agent containing a metal salt having reducing sulfur and capable of giving improved dyeing power by storing the first and second agents separately and mixing them in use. CONSTITUTION:A hair dye obtained by combination of the first agent containing 1-15wt%, preferably 1-5wt% particularly 2-4wt% water-soluble lead salt, e.g. lead acetate or lead nitrate, and the second agent containing a metal salt having reducing sulfur, e.g. thiosulfate or sulfite, such as sodium salt, ammonium salt or potassium salt in an amount of 1-20wt%, preferably 4-20wt% for the thiosulfate or 1-20wt%, preferably 4-10wt% for the sulfite and further sulfur contained therein as required. Since the above-mentioned hair dye is used by mixing both components in use, the dye exhibits improved dyeing power, and is capable of dyeing gray hair to grayish black gradually with the lapse of time without causing disorder, e.g. contact-type dermatitis, nor requiring hair washing. |
