PURPOSE:To simplify an operation and correction by converting a punctuation with the use of an updated column memory part when the same input is carried out after the position of the desired punctuation is specified and corrected with respect to erroneous KANJI (Chinese character) inscription. CONSTITUTION:When an operator recognizes that KANJI inscription displayed on an out put part 6 is not a desired one, he enters correction work, and specifies and deletes, for instance, 'contents' (He has inputted a character to obtain a sentence, through a paragraph punctuation position specifying part 8. A KANA (Japanese syllabary) string taking out part 9 takes a sentence as consecutive KANK string of independent words in a paragraph next to that including a specified position from the position of specified KANJI inscription of an input KANA string memory part 7.
