摘要 PURPOSE:To increase joint strength by providing an aperture to an insert-casting part and pressing an insert member consisting of a material which has the outside diameter larger than the inside diameter of the aperture and having the yield point higher than the yield point of the insert-casting part to said aperture. CONSTITUTION:A shaft part 1B which is the insert-casting part has the m.p. lower than the m.p. of a cam part 1A and a light alloy of the material having the yield point lower than the yield point of said part is used as a casting material. The aperture 1B1 is formed to the core part. On the other hand, a cam shaft 1 which is cooled to solidify upon ending of casting is press-fitted with the insert member 2 into the aperture 1B1. The member 2 is constituted of a bar material, etc. consisting of the material having the outside diameter D of the main part 2A larger than the inside diameter (d) of the aperture 1B1 of the shaft part 1B and having the yield point higher than the yield point of the shaft part 1B. Plastic deformation arises in the part 1B in such a manner that the ruggedness of the cam shaft 1A fits tightly with the ruggedness of the shaft part 1B when the member 2 is inserted into the aperture 1B1. The member 2 is drawn after the deformation of the shaft part 1B is completed.
