PURPOSE:To improve productivity of a tire by contriving shortening of a molding cycle, by a method wherein a molding green tire is supported on a tire transfer unit base in a longitudinal direction of a drum fitting shaft and a mechanism centering the green tire to a drum unit is provided on the upper part of an ascendable and descendable transfer rack. CONSTITUTION:A transfer unit base 20 is moved in the axial direction by a cylinder 10 and a transfer rack 24 raised by a cylinder of the inside of the base 20. Drum units 1a, 1b are in a closed state. Then a green tire W placed on the transfer rack 24 is pulled in the unit sides 1a, 1b. In this instance, the center of the tire W and the center of the units are coincidence with each other. Positioning of the green tire W is performed by pressing the tire W against a stopper roller 26 by a positioning cylinder 5 through a roller 6. Then the drum units 1a, 1b are made open and the tire W is held by the drum. |
