PURPOSE:A composition having extremely improved self-extinguishing characteristics, improved molding and processing properties, mechanical strength, etc., obtained by blending a rubber modified polystyrene containing specific styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber with a halogen flame-retardant. CONSTITUTION:A rubber modified polystyrene containing styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having 2-8wt% bonded styrene content is blended with a halogen flame-retardant. The rubber modified polystyrene contains preferably 2-12wt%, preferably 4-8wt% styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber. An amount of the flame-retardant is 1-15wt%, preferably 2-10wt%.
