PURPOSE:To make the constitution of the titled device simple and small and to make the device carry out various actions being interlocked with a microcomputer by utilizing a pulse outputted with the aid of a software of the microcomputer and generating a drive pulse of a photodetecting system by means of the addition of a small number of circuits. CONSTITUTION:A CCD drive pulse generator circuit 9 generates various pulses for driving a CCD sensor. There are four signals generated, namely, transfer pulse phi10, a signal phiSH for sample holding a signal, a signal phiRO for resetting the signal and a signal phiTG for commanding take-up commencement of the signal. Of these, the phiRO and the phiTG use directly an RD' terminal and a P27 terminal of a microcomputer 7. The phiSH and the phi10 input an ALE signal into a counter IC91, and out of driving outputs QA and QB, the QA is made into the phiSH with the aid of a one shot multivibrator 92, while the QB is used as the phi10 as it is. The resetting of the counter IC91 can be made by the output signal of a P25 terminal. In such a manner, the drive pulse can be sinchronized with the microcomputer 7.
