PURPOSE:To reduce the volume of data and to preserve easily the data by installing newly a means which encodes the action of the subject of an animation and stores it. CONSTITUTION:With the use of an action stating language (ADL) 1 being a special compiler language for stating the action of a subject, a user produces an animation program. The produced program is translated into a sort of information available from epitomizing actions, which is called an intermediate code, by a stating language translating part 2. At this time, said part 2 not only stores the intermediate code in an intermediate code memory 3 but also generates matrix data necessary for producing the action of subject and data on a shape at some point, and further stores them in a matrix data memory 4 and a subject/shape data memory 5. The intermediate code memory 3 stores information on actions, modifies and updates an address (pointer) in the memory in accordance with the contents and executes a control such as positioning the pointer at the top of a record to be executed.
