PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient animation generating system by expressing subjects for appearing on an animation in combination with graphic factors and defining previously the state of a joint between respective graphic factors. CONSTITUTION:An action specified data analyzing part 11 analyzes inputted action data on the graphic factor for comprising a subject and transmits a subject discriminator, a graphic factor discriminator and the type of the action as data to a control part 12. A graphic factor retrieving part 14 retrieves shape data on the graphic factor shown by a graphic factor pointer 13, and transmits the result to a new coordinate position arithmetic part 17. On the basis of the data inputted from the action specified data analyzing part 11, the control part 12 controls the graphic factor retrieving part, a coordinate conversion matrix generating part 18 and the new coordinate position arithmetic part 17 to obtain the new position of the graphic factor whose action is specified, and decides the presence or absence of the graphic factor jointed to said factor with the use of a joint state checking part. If the jointed factor is obtained, the control part 12 decides the action of the jointed factor with the use of an action propagation data generating part 16 and obtains the new coordinate position.
