<p>NEW MATERIAL:A benzothiazepine derivative shown by the formula I (X is O, or S; R1 is halogen; R2 and R3 are OH, or lower alkoxy; R4 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, OH, halogen, NH2, lower alkylamino, or NO2), its various isomers, and various salts. EXAMPLE:3-(L)-( 1-Carboxy-2-phenoxyethylamino )-5-carboxymethyl-2,3-dihy dro-1,5-benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one. USE:A remedy for hypertension and a remedy for circulartory organs, which have excellent antihypertensive action, low toxicity, and improved durability of action. PREPARATION:A compound shown by the formula V which is obtained from a compound shown by the formula II through compounds shown by the formula III and formula IV (Z is NH2-protecting group; R4 is OH, or lower alkoxy) by three processes is reacted with a compound shown by the formula VI and reduced to give a compound shown by the formula I.</p> |
