PURPOSE:To provide a projection welding machine which reduces an initial cost and has high productivity by mounting at least one of two pressure welding means sandwiching heat transmission fins and base metals to a movable body moving on a straight line connecting said two welding means. CONSTITUTION:A spacer 10 is first set to a prescribed position by a spacer setting device and the movable body is moved to set the 2nd pressure welding means 42 to the distance required for simultaneous welding of fins to one side of two water tubes 2. The 1st and 2nd water tube setting means 61, 62 feeding out the two water tubes 2 set the welding position of the water tubes 2 by moving in the direction perpendicular to the straight line connecting the two pressure welding means 41, 42. The heat transmission fins 1 are taken out by each piece by a fin setting means 8 and are fixed to the weld zone 3 of the water tube 2. The fins 1, the water tube 2 and the spacer 10 are put into the electrically conducting state. The means 41, 42 are operated to press the fins 1 to the water tube 2 by electrodes 9, 9 provided to the means 41, 42 and a voltage is impressed between the two electrodes. Large current is passed to the above-mentioned contact part 3 to melt and press-weld the part 3. The electrode 9 are retreated after the welding and the succeeding welding is executed. |
