PURPOSE:The titled herbicide, containing an N-substituted-chloroacetanilide and a specific well-known herbicidally active compound as active constituents, and capable of exhibiting improved controlling effect on annual and perennial weeds in a reduced application amount with a wide weeding spectrum. CONSTITUTION:A composite herbicide for paddy fields containing (A) a compound expressed by formula I (A is 1-3C alkoxyl; B is halogen or 1-3C alkoxyl; l is an integer 1-3), (B) a 4-(2,4-dichloro-3-methylbenzoyl)-1,3-dimethyl-5- phenacyloxypyrazole expressed by formula II (m is 0 or 1) and/or (C) a trisubstituted phenoxycarboxanilide expressed by formula III (Y is halogen; n is 0 or an integer 0-3) at 1:0.1-20, particularly 1:0.7-7 weight ratio between the compounds (A) and (B) or 1:0.05-15, particularly 1:0.5-3 weight ratio between the compounds (A) and (C). In case the compounds (B) and (C) are used together, the weight ratio of the compound (A) to the total of the compounds (B) and (C) is 1:<=20 within the above-mentioned ranges. The resultant herbicide is capable of exhibiting improved synergistic effect on controlling of perennial weeds which cannot be easily controlled in paddy fields. |
