<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the exclusive use of an external device for a printer and to attain application of the external device to other purposes, by providing a store part within a memory means for storage of external data, and driving a print mechanism by a control means according to the stored external data. CONSTITUTION:Data store parts 10a and 10b are provided within a RAM10 serving as a memory means. A print mechanism consists of a driver 12 for motor solenoid, motor solenoid 13, and a print head 4, etc. When the print mechanism is used as an electronic typewriter, the character data supplied through a keyboard 9 is stored to the part 10a and printed after editing. In case the print mechanism is used as a printer, the external input data is stored temporarily at a high speed to the part 10b and then printed based on the stored data after reception of data. In such a way, an external device such as a personal computer, etc. is never monopolized for print purpose and can be also applied to other purposes.</p> |
