PURPOSE:To provide a cutting device which is simple in construction and overcomes the difficulty in the adjustment of mechanisms and stable operation by supporting specifically a fluid pressure cylinder with a speed control, oscillating mechanism and grinder mechanism for cutting wires to a supporting base near a weld line. CONSTITUTION:A welding header 13 provided on the extension of the inside surface weld line 12 of stock 11 for, for example, a large-diameter steel pipe holds the multiple electrode welding wires 14. The cutting device 1 is provided on the supporting base 2 provided near the line 12. The device 1 is freely oscillatably supported to the base 2 and has the fluid pressure cylinder 3 to which the operation speed control equipment 4 is integrally connected. The mechanism 5 which oscillates in the prescribed range is connected respectively freely rotatably to the base 2 and a piston rod 31 of the cylinder 3. The grinder mechanism 6 is supported to the mechanism 5. The wire 14 is first projected by the required length and a grindstone 63 is turned in an arrow direction after the rod 31 is projected in the stage of cutting. The grindstone 63 is rotated in this stage. The control equipment 4 operates to advance the rod 31 at the speed optimum for cutting just before the contact of the grindstone 63 with the wire 14. |
