PURPOSE:To aim at improvement of machining efficiency by arranging two pairs of groups of holding nails composed of a plurality of holding nails alternately on the outer periphery of a chuck body to be able to move independently toward the direction of the center part, in the case of a chuck of a turret lathe or the like. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical raw member 1 for the first cutting process is fixedly held by the first group 22 of holding nails to do the first cutting process. Then, the machined member 1 is extracted from the first group 22, the cut part is fixedly held by the second group 23 of holding nails, and the second cutting is given to the uncut part which has been chucked. By this constitution, the first and the second machining process can be carried out continuously on one chuck body, and efficiency improvement can be attempted. |
