TOOL CHANGER HAVING MACHINE TYPE DECIDING FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To automate selection and replacement of reel by arranging a plurality of sensors and objects to be detected then binary arranging the output signals to be produced in accordance to the number and arrangement of said objects and deciding the type of machine. CONSTITUTION:A replacing chuck 4 is held on chuck holder 5. A hole sensor 2 and an object to be detected or a magnet 1 are fixed respectively to the holder 5 and the replacing chuck 4 to constitute machine type deciding means. Upon variation of the number and the arrangement of magnets 1 with correspondence to the type of chuck 4, the output from the hole sensor 2 is turned on/off correspondingly. When binary arranging said outputs, 16 types of machines can be decided to the maximum in case of four hole sensors 2.
