Accessory, called "reduction plate", intended to ensure the connection of two pipelines of different diameter, and method for producing this accessory. It consists of two coaxial tubular portions, connected by a common bottom, consisting of a flared conical portion 10 extended by a plane portion 11. The tubular portion of large diameter, of length H, has an annular shoulder separating the two zones of slightly different diameter 14 or flared 12. The free end has an edge 13 which extends radially towards the outside.
