PURPOSE:To know the shape, size, etc., of an object by irradiating the object with light beams at constant intervals and comparing intervals of the spots with intervals of spots which are inputted previously. CONSTITUTION:Light beams projected from an arranged optical fiber array increase in spot interval according to irradiation distance. Namely, spot-to-spot distance is larger and larger as the object is more and more distant from a fiber array light part 2. Then, variation in the interval between spots is inputted to a computer and then compared with each measured spot-to-spot interval to know the distance from the fiber array light part 2 to the object. Then, the shape and distance of even a complex object, i.e. combination of irradiated objects to an optional point are known. |
