PURPOSE:To make the temp. coefficient of the resistance in the reducing atmo sphere of the title sensor by using A1-xLaxSnO3-delta perovskite compd. is used as a responsive material. CONSTITUTION:In a gas sensing piece 8 of a sensor, A1-xLaxSnO3-delta perovskite compd. is used as a responsive material. Herein A shows an element of at least one member of a group consisting of Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra and delta shows a nonstoichiometric parameter. The substitution ratio (x) of La is regulated to 30mol ppm-2mol% preferably about 100-5,000mol ppm and more preferably about 100-2,000mol ppm. The external leads 18, 20 are connected to the gas sensing piece 8 via a pair of noble metallic electrodes 14, 16. The temp. coeffi cient of resistance in the reducing atmosphere (lambda-1) is remarkably made small without marring the sensitivity around the oxygen sensitivity and the equivalent point owing to the substitution with the micro quantity of La. |
