<p>PURPOSE:To obtain low temp. dry air with a simple device and without using a coolant by cooling the air compressed by the reciprocal movement of a piston in a cylinder and separating water drops generated thereby. CONSTITUTION:A piston 2 is moved downward in a cylinder 1 by driving a crank 3, and external air is sucked in the cylinder 1 from a suction valve 4 for controlling the suction of the external air. Then, whole valves are closed and the piston 2 is moved upward to compress the sucked air adiabatically. Further, the hot air heated by the compression is flowed into the heat transmitting pipe 12 of a cooler 5 by opening an air discharging valve 7 alone and the heat is exchanged with the external air blown by a fan 15, and cooled interposing the heat transmitting pipe 12. Thereafter, an introducing valve 9 alone is opened to introduce the compressed air into the cylinder 1 by the downward movement of the piston 2, and water drops generated by the cooling in the heat transmitting pipe 12 are separated in a water drop separator 17 of such as centrifugal separator type. the temp. of the air introduced into the cylinder 1 is lowered by the adiabatic expansion as the piston 2 moves downward. The dry and cold air is transported to a part for using the air from a conducting pipe 10 through an air feeding valve 11.</p> |
