PURPOSE:To improve the drivability in an operating unit for power transmission system of car mounting a stepless speed changer enable of continuous variation of speed change ratio, by providing means for manually setting the advancing position in stepless. CONSTITUTION:The operating unit 1 in power transmission system mounting a stepless speed changer 2 can select between parking (P) range, reverse (R) range, neutral (N) range and manual advance setting area or manual (M) range through reciprocation of shift lever 4. In M-range, the shift lever 4 can be reciprocated continuously from High to Low to produce a speed change ratio signal from speed change ratio variable range setting means 5 with correspondence to the sliding position. The setting means 5 is provided with a potentiometer 6 comprised of a contact 524 fixed to a transparent sliding cover 52 having a shift lever through-hole 51 and a resistor member 54 fixed to the lower cover 56. |
