PURPOSE:To enable accurate measurement, by providing liquid supply holes respectively communicated with the electrodes of an ion selection electrode pair while providing liquid dripping parts respectively communicated with said liquid supply holes. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that an ion selection electrode pair 20 responds to certain specific ions and, if a reference solution, of which the ion activity is known, is dripped to a liquid dripping part 53 and a specimen solution, of which the ion activity is unknown, is dripped to a liquid dripping part 54, the reference solution is supplied to a liquid supply hole 31 and the specimen solution to a liquid supply hole 32. The interface of the reference solution and the specimen solution is communicated with a porous bridge 60 in the vicinity of the center thereof. As a result, because potential difference corresponding to the ion activities between the reference solution and the specimen solution is generated between the ion selection electrodes 21, 22, measuring probes are inserted in measuring probe insert holes 56, 57 to be contacted with both electrodes and the ion activity in the specimen solution can be measured. |
