A holder for receiving and holding pan lids and the like, has a panel (11), moulded onto whose side edges there are rims (12, 13, 14, 15) running perpendicular to the panel. Moulded onto the rims are arms (16, 17, 18, 19) which each enclose an acute angle with the rim edge, the angle of the upper arms with the rim edge being 20 degrees, of the arms located below them 25 degrees, etc. As a result, it is achieved that, when pan lids with handles and of a relatively large depth are inserted, even a lid located between two pan lids can be taken out without the handle of the upper pan lid impeding that located below it when it is taken out. <IMAGE>
