PURPOSE:To reproduce a picture photographed by a stereo camera on a 2-dimensional display scope, by adjusting the light axis of each optical lens system of two pick-up camera to the shift approximately the same to the interval of right/left eyes of an observer. CONSTITUTION:The picture surface cross points Cl, Cr' of lens light axes Cl, Cr are adjusted so that they do not coincise with image pickup scope centers Ol, Or of each pickup camera 31, 32, but so that they are shifted to the right and left so as to obtain approximately the same interval of the right and left eyes of audience. In such a way, the object 5 to be displayed 2-dimensionally is photographed by the 2 cameras 31, 32, and each image is reproduced on a CRT 2-dimensional display scope 3. Thus, the scope centers Ol, Or of cameras 31, 32 coincide with the scope center of the display scope 3. Consequently producing a perspective and natural stereo picture.
