PURPOSE:To prevent a contact trouble with a blade of a ceiling fan and improve a value added of the fan in its external appearance, by providing a suspension device, which hangs an electric motor from a ceiling surface, and a lighting equipment in a bottom surface of the blade mounted to the electric motor while emitting light from the lighting equipment when the blade rotates. CONSTITUTION:A ceiling fan has a suspension device 307, hanging an electric motor 301 from a ceiling surface 308, and a blade 303 mounted to the electric motor 301, providing a light emitting diode 304 on the bottom surface of this blade 303. Here the fan, when the electric motor 301 is electrified, rotates a mounting metal fixture 302 and the blade 303. Simultaneously, the fan, supplying electric power to the light emitting diode 304 from a power supply switch (not shown in the drawing), turns on the light emitting diode 304, drawing a rotating locus of the blade 303. Accordingly, the ceiling fan, enabling a person in a room to visually obtain the rotating locus of the blade 303 even if illumination in the room is in weak intensity, enables both an unexpected contact trouble with the blade 303 to be prevented and a decorative effect in the room to be improved.
