PURPOSE:To certainly detect a shoulder peak, by calculating a max. peak value from the peak of a stored sampling value and calculating the gradient with each sampling value from the max. peak value and separating a parent peak and a daughter peak from the magnitude of said gradient. CONSTITUTION:The analogue signal from a chromatograph 7 is converted to an digital signal by an A/D converter 1 while the digital signal is inputted to a central processing unit 8 through a peripheral machinery connector 7 to be converted to data, which can be operated by a control order device 6, by the program order of a control order housing device 2 to store said data in a memory 3. When the memory amount of the memory comes to a limit one, said data is printed by a printer 9. As mentioned above, when the memory of a chromatograph signal corresponding to one analytical portion is completed, peak judgement is performed. That is, the min. point and max. point of the peak are detected to be stored in memory 5 and the gradient with each sampling value is calculated from the max. peak value in a logical housing device 12, and a parent peak and a daughter peak are separated from the magnitude of said gradient and a shoulder peak can be certainly detected.
