Apparatus and method for simultaneously removing and transporting undersirable residual insulating toner particles (25) from a flexible imaging member (10) comprising in operative relationship, a cleaning roll means (12) containing on its surface insulating carrier particles (26), said cleaning roll being charged to a predetermined potential, a deflected flexible imaging member (10) means containing residual insulating toner particles (25) thereon, a cleaning zone (30) encompassed by and situated between said cleaning roll means (12) and said deflected flexible imaging member means (10), magnet means (14) contained in the cleaning roll means, and magnetic strips (15) contained in the outer periphery of said cleaning roll means. |
