Method and device for generating horizontal flow motion in liquids

Using suitable bodies of rotation rotating about a vertical axis in the centre of circular liquid containers, a horizontal circulating flow motion is imparted to the surrounding liquid, which motion is propogated as far as the outer rim of the pool. The object of the invention is to set all of the liquid in the circular pool structure into virtually uniform horizontal flow motion while using as little energy as possible. The invention is applied mainly in those cases where solids of a suspension held in cylindrical container structures are to be prevented from segregating or settling. Application examples are to be found in a wide range of industrial fields, especially in chemical industry and water and waste water engineering.
