A bracing arrangement, relieving bending loads, of a telescopic jib for a crane, which telescopic jib is composed of a base section which can be linked to the crane truck and of several jib sections, which can be extended from and retracted into the base section, and is braced at the rear by means of tensioning ropes, has a tensioning rope which is secured to the jib and is connected to a a crosshead of a rear tensioning cylinder.
