摘要 PURPOSE:To enable a sealing chamber to maintain its inside to be cooled, by setting the center position of a quantity of water in a heat exchanger to a place higher than the center position of a quantity of water in the sealing chamber and allowing cool and heavy water in the heat exchanger to naturally flow into the sealing chamber even when a pump is stopped in a high temperature condition. CONSTITUTION:Even when forced circulative cooling by a circulating blade 12 can not be expected, a natural convection is easily performed by setting a heat exchanger 5 to a position in the upper of a sealing chamber 10, 11, that is, by setting a level of water in a half quantity (center position of a quantity of water) in the heat exchanger 5 to a place higher than the center position of a quantity of water in the mechanical sealing chamber 10, 11. While the natural convection is more easily performed by allowing primary cooling water to flow in a barrel side of the heat exchanger 5 while secondary cooling water to flow in its coil side. In this way, even when a pump is stopped in a high temperature condition, the sealing chamber 10, 11 can be cooled while the heat exchanger 5 can be prevented from dewing on its barrel part external surface.
