PURPOSE:To enable a large number of sharp copies good in reproducibility of thin lines and gradation to be successively made by adding a specified org. tin compd. on the surface of a developing charge applying member, such as a carrier or developing sleeve, for giving electrostatic charge to a toner. CONSTITUTION:The charge applying carrier is obtained by dissolving the org. tin compd. represented by the formula shown on the right, R being an unsatd. hydrocarbon optionally substd. by group, such as halogen or amino, in a solvent, such as methyl ethyl ketone, mixing and dispersing particles for the carrier, such as iron powder, into this soln., taking them out, and drying them, or the charge applying sleeve is obtained by adding and mixing the tin compd. into a polymethacrylate resin soln., dipping the developing sleeve made of stainless, taking it out, and drying it, thus permitting the toner to be given proper nega tive charge and the carrier and the sleeve to retain the property of charge applying member without any deterioration for a long time, and good images to be formed. |
