PURPOSE:To attain an insertion editing on an original tape by a single device and also to attain a real-time insertion recording together with a monitoring job, by reading data out of a magnetic tape by a reproduction head which is most advanced to the drive of the tape to erase the read-out data simultaneously by the following erasion head and performing another signal recording by a final recording head. CONSTITUTION:Distances between preceding reproduction heads P1 and P2 and recording heads R1 and R2 are equal to (l) in terms of a track length under the following conditions. That is, the information between A and B, for example, is erased and another piece of information is inserted for editing. In this case, it is needed to read the data covering C, D and E as long as a blank control signal and a synchronizing signal excepting data are put at the middle of a course. Thus the information up to B can be demodulated correctly. Then both heads P1 and P2 must precede the heads R1 and R2 by at least an amount equivalent to the total time of the time up to E and the signal processing time. Thus the sum data of the data obtained by reproducing and demodulating the area between A and E by the heads P1 and P2 and the data obtained by demodulating the signal to be inserted can be recorded by both heads R1 and R2. |
