A nozzle head for the handle of a dental instrument used for cleaning of the teeth, in the preferred embodiment according to German Utility Model 8407156.7, is provided with an annular cuff coaxial to the nozzle in order to form a pot-shaped hollow space downstream from the nozzle orifice, in order to obtain a uniformly polished surface without formation of grooves on removal of the enamel during cleaning of the teeth by means of an air jet mixed with an abrasive substance and a water jet surrounding this air jet.
