PURPOSE:To attain cursor movement in high speed with high accuracy by executing two-stage control; acquisition of object position in a region display cursor at first and then point display cursor movement in the region. CONSTITUTION:In taking the first cursor position of a pattern 1 as a point display cursor 2 and a region display cursor 3, when the point display cursor 2 comes to an object position 4, the dot display cursor 2 goes to the speed region at the outside of the frame to bring the mode to the speed system where the cursor is moved by the moving speed and moving direction on the pattern in response to the tilt angle and tilt direction of the joy stick 10 to move the region display cursor 3 in the direction of arrow. Then the object position is acquired in the frame of the cursor and stopped, the mode is restored to the displacement system where the cursor is moved in response to the tilt angle and tilt direction of the stick to match the point display cursor 2 to the object position 4.
