[Also in Divisions B5 and C3] A sheet of porous fibrous material, e.g. glass fabric, is coated with a composition capable of being thermally cured to a hard infusible resin comprising a liquid solution of a solid polyanhydride containing at least two groups of formula where the C to C double bond can occur between the C atoms alpha to the carbonyl groups or in the groups attached to the above C atoms, and less than 3 conjugated double bonds when one of the conjugated double bonds is between the C atoms alpha to the carbonyl groups of the above groups, in a liquid olefinically unsaturated monootirane compound containing an olefinic double bond capable of being polymerised by free-radical means and, as its only functional .group which can participate in crosslinking reaction with the above anhydride, a single otinane oxygen atom.</p> |
