PURPOSE:To prevent water and oil, etc., from entering into the captioned starter for an internal combustion engine by arranging a seal between a drive shaft and an energyzing coil, and bringing one end of the seal into contact with an outer periphery of a push rod. CONSTITUTION:Energyzing an energyzation coil 2, a plunger 8 deflects springs 18, 19 and moves to reduce a sliding distance between a seal 9 and a roll 8 by a gap between a push rod 8b and a steel ball 21. In addition, a drive shaft 20 is advanced so as to permit a bellows of the seal 9, whereby a pinion 23 is brought into contact with a ring gear 22 to compress a spring 34 to permit a movable contact 8a to make contact with a fixed contact 11. A starter is started by rotation of a motor 30. Hereby, even if, etc., pass through connection parts A, B between a center case 10, and a housing 26 and a yoke 33, a drainage hole C, a portion between the pinion 23 and a tube 24 and a shaft 20, and enteres into the side of the energyzing coil 2 side, it can be prevented with use of the seal 9. |
