PURPOSE:To obtani the black picture of high density at a high speed, by a method wherein a specific phenol derivative is condensated by using dehydrting condensating agent, for example sulfuric acid, then heated with a caustic alkali aqueous solution or ethylene glycol as occasion demands and thereafter, the color former refined with an organic solvent is used. CONSTITUTION:The pressure-sensitive or heat-sensitive recording paper manufac tured by combination of a fluorene derivative expressed by the formula and a developer is excellent in conservative stability, coloring properties, light resis tance and water resistance. Further, in the formula, class 1 alkyl group of 1-10 in carbon number concerning carbonn combined with nitrogen, alkenyl group of 3-4 in carbon number, alkoxy alkyl group 3-4 in carbon number, cycloalkyl group of 5-7 in carbon number capable of being substituted, phenyl group capable of being substituted or benzoyl group capable of being substituted is expressed by R<1> and class 1 alkyl groups of 1-10 in carbon number concern ing carbon combined with nitrogen, alkenyl group of 3-4 in carbon number or alkoxy alkyl group of 3-4 in carbon number is expressed by R2. |
