PURPOSE:To drive a pickup directly to a specific track with simple constitution by converting the rotary motion of a stepping motor into linear motion through a link mechanism coupled with the rotating shaft of the motor and driving the pickup by the linear motion. CONSTITUTION:When the stepping motor 1 turns, an arm 3 also turns and a magnet 5 and the pickup 10 move linearly in the extension direction of magnets 7 and 8 by the movement of a guide 6 in the long-sized hole of the arm 3 to perform tracking control. Thus, the stepping motor 1 is only controlled to perform retrieval directly.
