PURPOSE:To produce the titled compound useful as an intermediate of a coupler for silver halide color photography, by reacting hydroxylamine or its salt with easily available N-pyrazolyl-amidine or its salt at room temperature using the same solvent and same reactor throughout the reaction. CONSTITUTION:The N-pyrazolylamidoxime compound of formula II (e.g. the compound of formula III) is produced by reacting the N-pyrazolyl-amidine of formula I (R1 and R2 are H or substituent group other than amino; R3 is alkyl, aryl or heterocycoic group) or its salt with hydroxylamine or its salt. The starting compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting aminopyrazole of formula IV with an imide ester of formula V (R4 is alkyl or aryl) in the presence or absence of an acid. The above reactions are carried out using the same solvent selected from alcohol and water (preferably water). USE:Synthetic intermediate of pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazole. |
