PURPOSE:To enable a cleaning operation of a ship's bottom to be effected completely by arranging scrapers, which are supported while they can be swung around the shaft center as required, on the both sides of a driven sprocket at the lower end of a bucket elevator enabling scrapers not only to come in contact with the ship' bottom but also to be retracted. CONSTITUTION:Scrapers 32 are supported while they can be swung as required, on the both sides of a shaft 34 of a driven sprocket 23, with with an endless chain 24 of a bucket elevator is engaged. In case of operations such as excavation, digging out, and conveying other than a bottom cleaning operation, unloading operation can be effected as usual where the scrapers 32 are retracted by swing themselves. While on the contrary, in the case when the thin layer of bulk cargoes (bottom cleaning operation) on the ship's bottom 32b, the scrapers 35, which are on the back side in regard to the moving direction of the bucket elevator as shown by an arrow head a4, are allowed to swing to the opposite direction permitting the tip of the lower end edge of the scrapers 35 to come in contact with the bottom surface 32b. This allows a cleaning operation of the bottom surface to be positively effected with ease. |
