PURPOSE:To attain to enhance the printing characteristic of a stylus array head by forming the cross-sectional shape of said array head into a hexagonal one, by forming a large number of stylus array heads to a substrate by punching processing using double-surface electrolytic etching. CONSTITUTION:The whole of a substrate 20, to which degreasing treatment was applied, is masked by a photosensitive negative photoresist film and, by using an original plate wherein, for example, strips each having a width of 50mum and a length of 60mm are arrayed over a length of 80mm at equal intervals of 75mum in matching relation to the shape of a stylus 10, the patterns (a) of a stylus array head 11 are formed to the substrate 20. Next, double- surface electrolytic etching is performed to perform the punching processing of slots 21 each having a width of 75mum and a length of 60mm to form the patterns of stylus array head materials 22. The cross-sectional shape of each stylus array head material 22 shows a hexagonal one and, as compared with a trapezoidal one due to conventional single surface etching, the shape more approximate to an ideal shape (cross-section having a square pillar shape with a dimension of 50mumX50mum) is obtained. |
