PURPOSE:The title plastic molding excellent in radiation resistance and suitable for use in e.g., syringes which must undergo radiation sterilization, by mixing a polyolefin with a specified organic compound having a 2-benzofuranone skeleton and molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:An organic compound having a 2-benzofuranone skeleton having at least one hydrogen or an organic group bonded via a double bond, in a position 3 is prepared. More particularly, this organic compound is represented by the formula (wherein R<1> and R<2> are each H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, hydroxyl, halogen, carboxyl or the like, and R<3>-R<6> are each H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxyl oar the like). The purpose plastic molding is obtained by adding 0.01-3 pts.wt. this organic compound to 100pts.wt. polyolefin (e.g., polyethylene) and molding this mixture.
