PURPOSE:To maintain the nominal value of a battery life by operating an all- stop circuit when an external operating member is operated and when the external operating member is operated again within the specified time. CONSTITUTION:A frequency dividing circuit 2 and a display device 3 are reset to initial values when an external operating switch 7 is closed in the wristwatch which oscillates a time standard signal by an oscillation circui¦ 1 and disp¦ays 3 the time standard value after dividing down the frequency thereof to a low-frequency signal in the circuit 2. A timer circuit 5 starts measurement when the switch 7 is opened. The all-stop circuit 6 operates to set the all-stop state when the switch 7 is again closed and opened within the specified time measured by the circuit 5. There is substantially no electric power consumption till the sales if the watch is maintained in this state after the completion of the watch body and therefore the maintenance of the substantial nominal value of the battery life is made possible. |
