PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having a functionally separated photosensitive layer composed of an electrostatic charge generating layer improved in potential characteristics and image defect resistance and a charge transfer layer by coating a conductive substrate with a dispersion fluid obtained by subjecting a dispersion fluid contg. a charge generating material and a binder resin to centrifugal separation treatment to form the charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is prepared by laminating on the conductive substrate the charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer, and the charge generating layer is formed by coating the conductive substrate with a dispersion fluid obtained by subjecting a dispersion fluid contg. a charge generating material and a binder resin to centrifugal separation treatment.
