发明名称 OSCILLATOR FOR CARBON DIOXIDE LASER
摘要 PURPOSE:To control quantity in which CO is oxidized into CO2, and to control a laser output further by mounting a catalyst having a sensitizing photochemical reaction effect into a laser box body and controlling the intensity of beams projected to the catalyst. CONSTITUTION:In a discharge excitation type carbon dioxide laser device, CO2 dissociates to CO by discharge, and a laser output lowers. However, Zn as one of catalysts 7 having a sensitizing photochemical reaction effect has a property in which an oxidation reaction to CO2 of CO is sensitized when beams are projected for said oxidation, and the intensity of beams is controlled by utilizing the property, thus controlling the quantity of CO oxidized to CO2. Consequently, the variation of an output is fed back to a control power supply 6 from an output sensor 4, the intensity of a light source 5 is increased, the concentration of CO2 is augmented and the laser output is elevated when the laser output from laser beams 3 lowers, and the intensity of the light source 5 is reduced, the concentration of CO2 is decreased and the laser output is minimized when the laser output increases. Accordingly, the intensity of the light source 5 is controlled, thus controlling the laser output from laser beams 3.
